a collection of multiracial, multiethnic stories.
We are committed to amplifying mixed race voices and forming a community through our shared yet nuanced experiences. Conversations around race and ethnicity in America tend to be focused on a binary, largely fixed categorization of race. Mixed race folks are often misunderstood and rejected by their racial communities. Via this project, we ask: how does an individual relate to their mixed race identity, especially if their racial backgrounds have a complicated and/or violent history? What do race relations look like in a multiracial family? What joy and pride have our identities brought us?
Currently based in Los Angeles, the mixed race project is excited to expand across the United States.
